A Note to Friends & Family of Those with an Invisible (or Physical) Disability

In the last year two people in my life have temporarily experienced what it is like to live with my invisible disabilities. With one it brought us closer, but with the other it pulled us apart. How you react to such an experience can either help or hurt your relationship with someone like me. If you are friend or family to someone with an invisible (or physical) disability, please read this and take it to heart.

Journal: Two Appointments = Up Until Two

Yesterday I had my chiropractic appointment and my massage therapy appointment back-to-back. I don't normally schedule them on the same day. Just one of them gives me plenty of discomfort and sleep interruptus. But, I didn't want to postpone my chiro appointment until next week and have a migraine slip in. The result? I was awake until at least 2 am.

Journal: Prepping for Dental Work Downtime

A couple weeks ago I found a spot on one of my molars that seems to be a tiny hole. Today I'm going to the dentist to confirm whether it is a cavity and take care of it, if it is. I don't know exactly how my body will react to getting a filling, so I'm trying to prepare for the same consequences as other minorly invasive procedures I've had done in the last few years.
