Journal: What is a Fibropreneur?

In trying to come up with something to fill the blank space on the Facebook page header, I realized that I have not yet defined Fibropreneur for myself or for you. So, that was the task I set for myself today: define Fibropreneur and add the definition to Facebook. It’s one thing to have the concept in your head, but to actually write it out is a challenge. Below is my first attempt at defining a Fibropreneur in actual words.

What is a Fibropreneur?

A Fibropreneur is any entrepreneur with a chronic illness (such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, Crohn’s disease, bipolar disorder, etc.) that actively designs their business to work with their health and actively supports other Fibropreneurs.

I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. I feel like there is more to it, but the rest is too ethereal to define right now. I imagine the definition will grow and change over time as this site grows and changes. I wonder how it will be different in 1, 5, or 10 years from now.

What do you think of the definition? Are you a Fibropreneur? Please leave a comment below or send me an email.

      Pamela,

Thank you! An in-person meet up is a fun idea. I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I’ve also considered doing a Google Hangout sometime. Would that be of interest?
